Manager, Overlay Cluster FIFA Women's World Cup 2027TM

The Overlay Cluster Manager plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and delivery of temporary infrastructure across a group of assigned venues. This position requires close collaboration with the Venue Design team, Functional Areas (FAs), stadium authorities, and various stakeholders to ensure that overlay solutions are functional, cost-effective, and fully aligned with operational needs and technical standards.

1. Collaborate with the Venue Design team, Functional Areas, stadium authorities, and other stakeholders to define, optimize and validate overlay solutions, ensuring technical requirements are accurately reflected in designs and BoQs.
2. Implement change management processes and maintain budget control for venues under your responsibility. Organize, coordinate, and oversee the flow of technical information (e.g., drawings, requirements, updates) across all venues in the cluster.
3. Maintain clear communication with stadium authorities to ensure alignment on timelines, by monitoring construction schedules, planned renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.
4. Work closely with overlay delivery partners from planning through construction and removal, monitoring the execution of the project scope to ensure all requirements are met and that spaces are handed over on time and to the expected quality throughout all project phases, including reinstatement.
5. Provide regular updates on overlay progress at assigned venues, track project milestones and deliverables, and support timely resolution of issues or delays.
6. Support operational design development by transforming raw data into accurate base CAD drawings, integrating operational, overlay, and legacy content, and ensuring all updates adhere to FIFA standards and templates. Delivering complete and timely drawing sets aligned with project schedules and inspection requirements.
7. Align and establish a clear and consistent code/naming convention for commodities to be integrated into the design, enabling effective status tracking and change management control.

Your profile

• Degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years or more in infrastructural projects or Overlay/Technical Service roles in Major Events for a Sporting Organization.
• Strong technical knowledge in temporary infrastructure.
• Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and implement effective solutions.
• Autodesk applications (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
• Right to work in Brazil.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
• Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro
• Availability to travel as needed
