Overview The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, calibration and testing of electrical systems and equipment, including power generation, transmission, and distribution networks. This position will also troubleshoot, ensure compliance with company safety standards and regulatory needs, and collaborate on cross-functional teams on special projects and daily operations. Responsibilities Assist production and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective, particularly in the specialized area involving electro-mechanical equipment, pneumatic systems and related computer and hardware systems. Design, develop, and test electrical systems, manufacturing systems and electrical equipment. Collaborates with Controls Engineering in the creation of controls architecture and connection guides. Responsible for ensuring proper documentation, consistent use of processes and systems, and engineering design standards are followed. Must be capable of working collaboratively with mechanical and other engineers on complete solutions. Coordinate all phases of assigned projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations and related bid meetings, equipment and facilities engineering/design, manufacturing and installation through final start-up, acceptance and project close-out. Assist production and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective, particularly in the specialized area involving mechanical equipment and related systems. Oversee onsite work done by contractors. Coaches and develops technical talent in day-to-day activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in a mid to large-sized manufacturing facility. Experience working with cross-functional teams Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management Experience creating and sustaining electrical schematics Experience of system design following international and Brazilian electrical regulations and standards (e.g. UL, CSA, MD, IEC, and IEEE).
