Overview

Role: Application Engineer – Asset Protection product line. Location: São Paulo, Brazil. You will be part of a dynamic, diverse engineering team with growth opportunities in a medium-sized company seeking to continuously improve our customers, products, processes, and ourselves. Responsibilities
  • Provide customer technical assistance for product questions and problems from quotation through post-shipment and installation.
  • Provide on-site technical product support to our largest clients.
  • Research and identify product solutions and initiate new product models and derivatives to meet customer needs.
  • Support manufacturing by answering technical questions and troubleshooting order-related problems.
  • Analyze product failures and customer concerns; assist in customer quality concerns and generate reports as required (CQC).
  • Provide internal training on Qualitrol products.
  • Manage customer issues from occurrence to resolution.
  • Travel to customer sites for business reviews, training, and troubleshooting (up to 25%).
  • Deliver presentations as needed and support product implementations and deployments.
Qualifications
  • BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in an engineering role.
  • Experience with software and hardware implementation and solving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong customer service focus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge in telecom techniques for remote device monitoring (TCP/IP, modem protocols, serial links) is preferred.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations.
  • Hybrid role: three days in the São Paulo office, two days remote.
  • Preferred: Oracle and Salesforce experience; knowledge of electric power transmission and distribution.
