Description
The Import Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the importation process to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to streamline logistics operations and maintain compliance with international trade regulations.
Responsibilities- Import Operation: Oversee the entire import process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods.
- Collaborate with suppliers and freight forwarders to schedule shipments and resolve any logistical issues.
- Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and review import documentation to ensure compliance with international trade laws.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of import regulations and tariffs to minimize risks and avoid delays.
- Cost Management: Monitor and report on logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Performance Tracking: Develop and utilize KPIs to track the efficiency and effectiveness of import operations.
- Provide regular reports and insights to management on import activities and performance metrics.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal Business Units to align logistics activities with business objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external norms, procedures, and guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Administration, Foreign Trade, Engineer and related;
- Previous Experience: Transport, Logistics and Customs Operation
- Knowledge: S4Hana, SAP/TM.
- Knowledge: Microsoft Office Package (required)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures and special regimes (Recof)
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems and PowerBI, with strong data management and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in an operational environment with proven ability to thoroughly understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
