About The Role As a member of the UI engineering team you will collaborate with backend service teams to develop the automation framework for testing Netskope products. You will work on both the frontend as well as the backend automation, collaborating with our backend teams on Machine Learning, Threat, DLP, IaaS, API’s and other technologies. You will have the opportunity to test best-in-class security solutions using different technologies while working with a talented and experienced team of engineers in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What’s In It For You Our SDETs have built Python script automation tools to do functional, regression, security, performance and load/scale testing of our services and clients. We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about testing and automation. If you love to write code to test, have aptitude to find ways to break things, understand how cloud services should work, and can build automation for day to day tasks that machines can run, we would love to speak with you about a role on our team.

• Building and creating enterprise Test automation strategy & Road map, Capacity Planning.
• Designing and developing automation framework and scripts in parallel to feature development to enable CI/CD.
• Developing and overseeing the processes, toolsets, and staging environments necessary to support our testing strategy.
• Assist in on-going process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting is effective and efficient.
• Promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
• Lead the definition, implementation, and maintenance of standard test automation processes, methodologies, tools and templates.
• Do Code reviews, verify coding standards are being met.
• Work with peer leads in Development, QA, and Project Management.
• Developing, analyzing and reporting on critical product quality metrics.
• Shadow developers and document the test Plan, test scripts, test scenarios etc.
• Be hands-on to automate repeated tasks and build test coverage through existing or new infrastructure.
• Assess the problem statement and arrive at innovative solutions.
• Work with Geographically Dispersed Teams.
• Understanding major browser technologies to ensure that the Netskope web interface works seamlessly across all browsers.

• 15+ years of hands-on experience developing tests and automation for network and security products.
• Strong expertise in programming languages like Python, pytest or Java.
• Experience designing and building automation frameworks.
• Solid experience in Web User Interface testing.
• Good knowledge of web applications stacks and the suite.
• Experience testing rest api services.
• Expertise in Selenium and/or Playwright and/or Cypress.
• Excellent debugging and development and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent test planning and execution skills.
• Good working experience in CI/CD using tools like Drone/Bamboo/Jenkins/Gitlab.
• Familiarity with web data formats like JSON, MIME, XML, HTML.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Working in any of Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate in an open, transparent and consistent manner with team and cross-functional teams.

• BSCS or equivalent required, MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred.
