What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Develop, write, and edit content for various platforms, including news releases and articles, to promote the university
  • Post and publish news content on the university’s website and coordinate student news submissions
  • Edit and oversee production of internal communications, ensuring consistency and cohesion
  • Monitor the effectiveness of communication campaigns and provide project management support
  • Communicate with stakeholders to verify requests and identify editorial resources
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in the communications field
  • Demonstrated competency in writing, editing, and proofreading, with knowledge of AP style
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and collaborate with professionals on written content
  • Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects efficiently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Skills in assessing and responding to various issues in a timely manner
  • Creativity in developing original content that aligns with university goals
  • Familiarity with software platforms commonly used in communications, including CMS
