In line with our current growth, Recurrent Energy is looking for a performance analyst to assist in the in-depth analysis of performance data from to solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems. This position is at the crossroads of solar energy, engineering, and data analytics.

ResponsibilitiesAnalyze the performance of solar photovoltaic systems (utility-scale solar plants and battery storage systems); identify under-performing areas and sub-systems, provide an understanding of system behaviorDevelop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports to share with clientsContribute to the maintenance and development of scripts to collect and archive dataDevelop automated diagnostic tools to analyze data and flag underperforming assetsPerform simulations using various industry standard programsInterface with other personnel in Operations and Maintenance, with our project development division, and with our clientsEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business ConductAdhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and company policiesComplete other duties and projects as assigned

RequirementsThis position is suitable for a recent Data Science or Engineering graduateFamiliarity or interest in solar energy and power systems an assetExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel)Strong computer skills and In-depth familiarity with a programming language (Python preferred)Knowledge of Pandas, SQL, Git an assetExcellent communication skills and an ability to write clear, concise reportsStrong work ethic, positive team attitude and able to work in a fast-paced environment
