The Project Buyer is responsible for ensuring the procurement of goods and services for specific projects, including international sourcing and import activities. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, selecting and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality materials and services. This role involves coordinating import activities, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. This position reports to the Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Manager Latam and is part of the Supply Chain team located in Diadema-SP and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with project timelines and objectives. Supplier Analysis:
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, build relationships with suppliers to ensure project requirements are met to secure the best pricing and terms. Contract Management:
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and negotiate changes as needed to align with project needs. Cost Reduction:
Drive cost reduction initiatives and process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses. Process Improvement:
Identify and implement strategies to streamline import processes and reduce costs. The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in:
Business, Supply Chain, International Relations, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in import operations in procurement or a related role, working in all aspects of import activities, customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with international trade regulations. Fluent in English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Track record of analysing supplier data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements, while handling issues like delays and discrepancies. Experience inproviding reports on project status, supplier performance and purchasing activities, including cost analyses and inventory status. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong organizational and time management skills.
