About the Role

As a Specialist developer on our team, you will be involved in planning, designing, developing, and testing software systems, or applications for enhancements and new projects. You will be using Java, Spring Boot, APIs, and SQL.

You should be an individual who has a passion for writing code, enjoys tackling problems that are difficult to solve, is driven by working as part of integrated software engineering teams, is focused on delivering at the highest level of quality, has meticulous attention to detail, and embraces new technologies, frameworks, and development practices with an open mind.

Experience You'll Bring
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience.
  2. Solid hands-on experience developing applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs.
  3. Experience with event-driven microservices architecture using Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka.
  4. Experience in low-level technical designing and writing user stories (JIRA, Confluence).
  5. Strong database skills (SQL, Postgres, Liquibase).
  6. Demonstrable CI/CD experience.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Write code like a beast.
  9. Pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks with a minimum of fuss.
  10. Are comfortable working on backend code, services, data stores, and infrastructure systems.
  11. Are a solid architect/designer.
  12. Have experience writing modern software deployed in the cloud.
  13. Are comfortable with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and frameworks.
  14. Have worked on agile teams to deliver software iteratively.
  15. Are a highly adaptable, versatile, and dependable member of a highly agile and dynamic software engineering team.
  16. Are a leader and mentor of the scrum team and perform the role of scrum master when necessary.
  17. Advocate, mentor, and execute engineering best practices.
  18. Drive a test-driven development approach and be happy to work and take responsibility for any stage within the software development life-cycle as required.
It Would Be Nice If You
  1. Have experience with electric vehicles charging data and protocols (e.g. OCPI and OCPP).
  2. Cloud experience with AWS Services and Terraform.
  3. Have experience with Python and JavaScript.
  4. Have experience with test automation frameworks like Java, Cucumber.
  5. Have experience with collaborating over virtual channels with peers distributed globally.
