As you begin your journey at Amazon, the HR Business Partner role in our Operations, People, Experience, and Technology (PXT) team will provide you with:

  4. Knowledge and application of HR fundamentals, defining actions to achieve results.
  5. Establishing partnerships with leaders at various levels of the organization to develop future-oriented goals focused on the employee experience.
  6. Optimizing processes, procedures, and best practices.
  7. Experience in coaching and supporting leaders in onboarding and talent management.
  8. Exposure to an organization with multiple Human Resources areas.

Key Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will partner with frontline business leaders to innovate, define, and implement HR strategies focused on employee engagement, internal customer service, talent management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning. Additionally, you will provide first-line support to our employee, HR, and leadership teams, drawing on HR expertise and empathy. To thrive, you will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to connect to the big picture while delving into details and collaborating across multiple teams, levels, and situations.


A Day in the Life

As an HR partner, no two days are alike, but a typical day will likely include the following responsibilities:


  1. Work with an HR team to create the best experience for operations employees.
  2. Promote and influence an inclusive environment for all employees.
  3. Provide success to employees through comprehensive experiences that help them feel fully engaged in the work they do and valued for who they are.
  4. Exercise good judgment equitably, manage with ambiguity, and serve as the first point of escalation for employee concerns.
  5. Create and promote an active approach to impact change and innovation around employee engagement.
  6. Promote technology adoption, self-service, change management, and continuous improvement.
  7. Support employee inquiries and situations with discretion and experience, along with routine standard work on employee onboarding, performance management, engagement processes, and benefits services.
  8. Provide effective internal and external customer service with a focus on strong communication and business vision.
  9. Train, develop, and support leadership through decision-making with empathy and good judgment through individual leadership, roundtables, and coaching.
  10. Collaborate with various levels of the organization, from frontline employees to senior leaders.
  11. Influence and guide partners to prioritize employee experience and customer obsession when innovating.
  12. Use data and metrics to identify trends, anticipate business needs, and develop action plans, including attendance and attrition, deep dives, and planning.

HR teams supporting our operations workforce will be aligned with the operational shifts of their customer group. This includes occasionally working weekends, nights, and rotating schedules based on business needs and/or peak times.


Minimum Requirements
  1. Completed Bachelor's Degree
  2. Experience in Human Resources subsystems as an HR Business Partner.
  3. Experience in supporting customer groups that work with massive processes, operations, and related areas.
  4. Advanced English and fluent Portuguese.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel at an intermediate level (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  6. Must be willing to work on-site and on a flexible schedule that may occasionally include nights, weekends, and holidays. This is crucial to meet business needs and is subject to change.
  7. Experience in a transportation company, distribution center, or factory.
  8. Previous experience leading, training, and guiding direct reports.
  9. Experience in writing and facilitating written recommendations on HR or business-related topics.
  10. Experience in labor and employee relations.
  11. Project management skills, ability to lead projects to influence and gain buy-in, and then drive execution and achieve the right results.
  12. Postgraduate degree (preferably MBA or Master's in Human Resource Management).
