Job Title : Junior Associate Counsel Experience : 1 - 3 Years Work Location : Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil Job Description: As part of the legal team at Zoho, Junior Associate Counsel works to ensure compliance, manage risks, or support business operations. Their responsibilities may include one or more of the following: Reviewing and drafting agreements for sales, marketing, events, vendor contracts, and terms of purchase. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, employment regulations, and tech industry standards. Handling data privacy matters, property purchases, and contract drafting. Supporting policy development by conducting research The specific nature of work assigned to the person depends on various factors, including the candidate's strengths (determined based on training performance) and the team's requirements. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Law – accredited by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) Registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) (optional) 1-3 years of experience. Knowledge in: Compliance and LGPD (General Data Protection Law – Brazil) Negotiation and international contracts Legal and regulatory risk management Labor negotiations Skills & Competencies: Oral and written communication skills in English and Portuguese; Ability to understand and apply concepts and regulations to a particular context; Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating legal risks; Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment; Preferred Attributes: Adaptability to work on varied legal tasks based on business needs. Willingness to learn and follow established legal processes and play books. Interest in technology, tech laws, and evolving regulatory landscapes.
