Cleaning Specialist

Mt. Bachelor strives to deliver Central Oregon's most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors on a year-round basis. Mt. Bachelor's 365 days of fun includes 4,300 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, Woodward Mountain Parks, a world-class Nordic Center, summer and fall downhill biking in the Mt. Bachelor Bike Park, Sun Country Tours (white water rafting), hiking, Sunset Dinners, Zip-Touring and chairlift-accessible sightseeing.
We have 2 shifts available:
- Day Shift which runs: 7:30am - 3:30pm-
- Swing Shift which runs 3:30pm - 10:30pmPosition Summary
Lodge Services is a detail oriented, hardworking position. The Cleaning Specialist performs custodial and maintenance duties in lodges and around mountain facilities; troubleshoots, responds to emergency calls for service; implements setup and possibly takedown for a wide variety of mountain and community events; works closely with employees and the public to meet the custodial needs of the area; and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities- Clean and maintain facilities, following and enforcing cleaning checklists.-
- Assist with Laundry.-
- Vacuum and clean carpets.-
- Empty garbage, wipe down surfaces.-
- Clean restrooms, kitchens and bar areas.-
- Collects recycled materials including cardboard.-
- Understands and follows Lodge Service and Mt. Bachelor policies.-
- Aware of chemicals used and knows where to find SDS information sheets.-
- Follow all Safety matrix topics and help teammates maintain a safe working environment.- Secondary Function- Assist other departments as needed.- Job Scope- In addition to our wilderness environment, we want to provide an environment of cleanliness at the resort. You are expected to complete all your job duties and take the initiative to clean anything that requires your attention.- Interpersonal Contacts- This position is a front-line guest facing position, interact with every department.- Specific Job Skills-
- License/Certifications: Current and valid driver's license preferred.-
- Technical: Some hand tool knowledge.-
- Physical Capabilities: Able to lift at least 25 lbs alone, 50lbs with help and remain on feet all day-
- Additional: Professional demeanor, guest service experience and strong communicator- Education/Related Experience-
- Minimum education required: High school diploma or equivalent experience-
- Minimum time in related position: Cleaning experience preferred- Current Hiring Rate: $18.54/hour- Minimum Age Requirement: 18 Come Work Where You Play
