Senior Accounting Analyst - São Caetano do Sul/SP page is loaded## Senior Accounting Analyst - São Caetano do Sul/SPremote type: Hybridlocations: Sao Caetano do Sul, Sao Paulo, Braziltime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR- **Job Description****Hybrid:**This position requires you to work on-site 3 times a week (Tue to Thu) **What You'll Do (Responsibilities):**This role is for a public accounting professional who is looking for career growth, requiring independent judgment and decision-making on significant accounting matters as well as experience working for a multinational company operating under USGAAP and IFRS guidance to join our South America regional finance team.This person should demonstrate experience to manage processes and procedures relevant to his/her work area with the ability to exercise sufficient decision-making to identify and propose solutions to leadership.Is expected for this Senior Accounting Analyst to independently identify and apply appropriate company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues under general supervision with limited guidance and direction.We are seeking a professional with developed communication skills to engage in daily interactions with leaders and/or peers from different functional groups to drive solutions to problems and to reach agreements for his/her own area in situations of moderate complexity.This position should impact our organization by proposing new initiatives and delivering solutions, driving cross functional efforts, and recommending opportunities for process improvements to leadership & proactively anticipating needs within the own area.Key responsibilities include:* Oversee accounting activities related to finished goods inventory and monthly revenue recognition, ensuring data accuracy, proper controls, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.* Monitor inventory levels on a regular basis, ensuring visibility, control, and accuracy of inventory data.* Analyze and report inventory KPIs, including monthly inventory reports, aging, days on hand, and Net Realizable Value (NRV).* Ensure alignment between physical inventory and accounting records, including the monitoring of in‑transit items, adjustments, and reconciliations.* Plan, organize, and coordinate annual and cycle physical inventory counts, investigating and resolving variances between physical counts and system records.* Lead and facilitate periodic meetings with business areas to review inventory aging, trends, and risk items.* Ensure inventory valuation is accurately recorded in accordance with corporate accounting policies.* Support monthly and quarterly close activities by preparing inventory valuation reports and account reconciliations.* Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with the FP&A team.* Execute monthly revenue recognition activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.* Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.* Provide technical accounting support to business areas on inventory and revenue processes, ensuring consistency with internal controls and accounting standards.* Support internal and external audit activities by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries as required.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, HR) on business initiatives and projects.* Mentor junior analysts and support staff, providing training and development guidance. **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)*** Bachelor Degree: Accounting or related areas* English from intermediate level* Experience and knowledge in accounting area* Knowledge in SAP* Solid knowledge in Excel* Ability to work independently, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail* Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders **What Can Give You A Competitive Edge (Preference Qualifications)*** Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).* Desktop automation, Knime, Python* Active CRC* Power Platform* MBA or Postgraduate degree in Accounting, Controllership, Business Administration, Information Technology, or Data Analytics is desired* Spanish is a plusGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
