DESCRIPTION We're seeking a distinguished transportation expert to serve as the principal architect of our BR transportation strategy and network evolution. This role will define technical vision, architect transformational solutions, and serve as the leading technical authority for transportation excellence across all transportation miles.Strategic Impact: Shape enterprise-wide transportation strategy and technical direction Drive innovation that revolutionizes transportation network capabilities Architect solutions that scale nationwide Define technical standards and best practices for the transportation organization Influence senior leadership decisions on strategic investments and organizational direction Key job responsibilities Serve as the principal technical authority for transportation network architecture Define and drive multi-year technical roadmaps for transportation excellence Architect innovative solutions for complex, unprecedented transportation challenges Lead strategic initiatives that fundamentally transform network capabilities Establish technical guidelines and governance frameworks Mentor senior engineers and develop technical talent across the organization Author technical whitepapers and strategic viewpoints for executive leadership BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements Experience driving technological and process innovation Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level Speak, write, and read fluently in English Distinguished experience in transportation strategy and network design Proven track record of defining technical vision and driving enterprise-wide adoption Distinguished expert status in transportation network optimization and design PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Transportation network architecture Advanced optimization algorithms Machine learning and AI applications in transportation Complex system design and integration Technical strategy development Innovation management Enterprise architecture Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
