About the Role
We’re looking for a senior, autonomous Microsoft Data Architect to lead data strategy and architecture for one of our high-impact startup clients. You’ll be the go-to expert for building, scaling, and securing modern data platforms using the Microsoft ecosystem.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, enjoys working with cutting-edge tools, and wants to make a direct impact in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities- Design & build data platforms using Microsoft Fabric (Synapse, OneLake, etc.).
- Develop scalable pipelines with Azure Data Factory.
- Optimize data performance using Delta / Parquet, partitioning, and Spark.
- Model data into easy-to-use structures (star schema, dimensional modeling).
- Ensure governance & security with Purview, RBAC, ACLs, and related frameworks.
- Automate deployments with CI / CD for data pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
- 15+ years in data engineering / architecture (Principal-level).
- Deep Microsoft expertise: Fabric, Synapse, OneLake (1+ year).
- Hands-on experience :
- Azure Data Factory (2+ years)
- Delta / Parquet optimization, Spark (5+ years)
- Dimensional modeling / Star schema (5+ years)
- Data governance & security (3+ years)
- CI / CD pipelines for data (2+ years)
