Position Overview As a Senior Full-Stack Developer , you’ll work with our clients, helping them build top-tier digital experiences that change the way people interact with technology. From architecting intuitive user interfaces to building scalable backend systems. We’re looking for someone to gear up to be a future technical lead . Your role will blend technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities—helping them understand how to implement the best solutions for their product vision. You’ll also work closely with our internal teams on products like Frameflow , an AI-powered QA Engineer that’s revolutionizing automated testing, and building solutions for Clients across our Professional Services business. Responsibilities Build highly scalable web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, Nest.js , and TypeScript . Work directly with clients and the Project or Product Manager to understand their needs and recommend innovative solutions. Lead full-stack development efforts, from frontend to backend to deployment, and sometime integrate AI infrastructure into the platform. Implement RESTful architecture to streamline client-server interactions. Bonus if you have experience with GraphQL. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure scalable, secure, and performant infrastructure. Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices. Stay on the cutting edge of technology trends , continuously improving our tech stack and development processes. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on React, Next.js, and Node.js . Proficiency in RESTful architecture or GraphQL and Apollo Client . Experience working with microservices architecture or tools like gRPC . Familiarity with version control systems like Git, Mercurial, or SVN. Strong client-facing skills—you’ll be working directly with our clients, helping them solve complex problems. You have experience with AWS , Google Cloud Platform , or other cloud based platforms, and maybe a few certifications under your belt or the desire to take some. Why Islands?
