We are also excited to be expanding our team in Brisbane, BiOC, and Toowoomba , bringing these values even more into midwifery practice as we continue to shape the future of maternity care across our communities. We are seeking applications for Caseload Midwives, offering midwifery Continuity of Care to families out of our Toowoomba, Windsor and North Lakes clinics and in our Birthing in Our Community (BiOC) team providing midwifery Continuity of Care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and babies out of our Caboolture and Strathpine clinics. As a caseload midwife, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, holistic care to women and their families throughout the pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. This is a crucial role that plays a vital part in ensuring the health and wellbeing of mothers and their babies. What you will be doing as a caseload midwife: Providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care to women and their families for hospital births (home births as well in the Brisbane team) Conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualised care plans and implementing evidence-based midwifery practices Assist fellow midwives, including assisting with intrapartum care as a second midwife Provide education and information which is in keeping with the philosophy of My Midwives to all women within the practice. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated care Maintaining accurate and comprehensive client records and conduct clinical audits where required Participate in whole of practice and clinical meetings Adhering to all relevant clinical guidelines, policies and procedures What you will bring to us: Current registration with AHPRA Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in midwifery Current experience working in antenatal care, birth suites and post-natal settings Demonstrated expertise in providing high-quality, woman-centred midwifery care Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills Commitment to continuing educational and professional development Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team. BiOC Partnership midwife position: The ability to recognise the importance of family, community, partnership and collaboration in the healthcare decision making process of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, for both prevention strategies and care delivery. Commit to a learning mindset, participate in collaborative cultural education always respecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples ways of knowing, being, doing and belonging. Experience working in a continuity of care model Endorsement of Scheduled Medicines Understanding of the requirements of midwifery continuity of care with admitting rights to public hospitals Understanding and commitment to the principles of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services Experience in providing care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander woman and their families. Midwives who are working towards or are planning to work towards their endorsement for scheduled medicines are encouraged to apply. Within the My Midwives model of care, our midwives work on a rostered on call system with protected days off. These positions are remunerated as an annualised salary from $94 000 up to $150 000 (including caseload loading) pro rata if part-time plus superannuation based on your experience and endorsement. You will be provided with all clinical equipment, iPad and Phone 6 weeks annual leave and all other statutory leave entitlements. Access to salary sacrifice additional superannuation contributions Access to Novated Lease arrangements My Midwives is flexible with the FTE for these positions for the right applicants.
