**About the role**
**Responsibilities**
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash reporting.
- Manage and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded and discrepancies resolved.
- Track and allocate prepaid expenses, preparing related journal entries and schedules.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain up-to-date records in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting systems.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist in variance analysis and budget tracking.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing and payment issues.
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reconciling data.
- Help ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies.
**Qualifications**
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or currently pursuing).
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
- Proven experience with bank, AR, and AP reconciliations.
- Familiarity with prepaid expense accounting.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting platforms.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups).
- Fluent English
**Extra qualifications**
- Knowledge of basic financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Experience with other ERP systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and grow in the finance field.
- Intermediate-Advanced Excel
