Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced, bilingual Strategic Business Development Manager with deep expertise in the mining sector in Brazil and preferably across Latin America, and strong knowledge in the hydrogen economy. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic advocate for commodities, sustainability, and emerging technologies, with a proven ability to navigate complex industrial ecosystems and collaborate across cultures.

This is a strategic leadership role driving partnerships, deal flow, and market insights in a fast-evolving sector. You will work closely with leadership in Brazil and the United States to shape our growth across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and execute strategic business opportunities across Latin America's mining and hydrogen sectors

• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including mining operators, hydrogen producers, government agencies, and international investors

• Provide market intelligence and feasibility analysis for exploration and expansion projects involving critical minerals

• Collaborate with the U.S. HQ on project development, investment pitches, and international expansion strategies

• Represent CommoditiesX in industry events, conferences, and meetings across Brazil, Latin America, and the U.S.

• Support the development of ESG-compliant sourcing strategies for critical raw materials

• Contribute to thought leadership on energy transition, clean tech, and the role of commodities in the future of technology

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in the mining industry in Brazil, with regional exposure in Latin America

• Demonstrated experience with hydrogen technologies, energy systems, or infrastructure projects

• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, supply chain, and geopolitical dynamics in the mining and energy sectors

• Native-level Portuguese and C2-level fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)

• Strong business acumen, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills

• Availability to travel internationally as needed, especially to U.S. HQ

• Passion for commodities, energy transition, and technological innovation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Geology, International Business, Energy Policy, or related fields

• Experience working with multinational teams or government-industry partnerships

• Familiarity with investment and financing models for industrial projects
