About the job:The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Senior Consultant to join us in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with our customers. You will help explain the benefits of Red Hat’s cloud solutions to our customers. You'll gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructures and business needs. As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with customers on various specific initiatives including architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of our cloud and container solutions, including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Tower, and Kubernetes-based technologies. You'll need to have excellent technical abilities and solid communication and customer-facing skills. You won't be expected to know everything on day one, but your ability to learn new technologies quickly will be essential.What you will do:- Routinely assess, design, and implement Red Hat's core offerings, including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Tower, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage (Red Hat Ceph Storage and Red Hat Gluster Storage) and Kubernetes-based technologies- Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration, container registries, container build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networking (SDN)- Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open source solutions- Adapt to changing customer requirements- Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions in a professional manner- Deliver quality results both on-site and post-engagement that will be on time and within the scope of the assigned project, including project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation- Participate in sales and proposal presentations as needed in addition to completing ongoing team account activitiesWhat you will bring:- Automation experience with basic Linux programing using automation language like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Puppet, Terraform, Python, or shell; excellent shell scripting abilities in Bash- Experience creating high availability clusters, understanding key issues when implementing cluster solutions for customers, and creating and managing file systems- Knowledge of a variety of virtualization and cloud technologies, of setting up virtual environments using host and guest, and of migrating from physical to virtual environments- Excellent presentation and communication skills- Fluent language skills in English- Willingness to travel up to 50%, following Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines- Bachelor's degree; master's degree in computer science or engineering or an MBA is a plus- 3+ years of experience with Linux system administration, preferably in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative- 2+ years of experience working with Kubernetes, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, or any other containers or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)-related technologies- 2+ years of scripting or programming experience- Knowledge of system management, including installation, custom channels, deploying virtualized systems, basic client-based security, repositories, and creating core buildsThe following are considered a plus:- Proven experience with the implementation of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Tower, and any other Red Hat’s offerings- Knowledge of software development life cycle practices, including agile methodologies, e.g., scrum, waterfall, or incremental; willingness to study and learn agile practices- Agile and DevOps mindsets- Red Hat certifications- Fluent language skills in SpanishLI-TV1About Red Hat:
