Python FastAPI Developer Lead We seek a seasoned Python developer to drive the success of our high-performance API projects. Key responsibilities include designing scalable APIs, enhancing backend performance, collaborating with ML researchers to power cutting-edge RL experiments and simulations. As a senior team member, you will work closely with other developers to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and benchmarking. Required skills include 3+ years of experience in Python development, including 2+ years of hands-on FastAPI work for high-performance backends, expert-level FastAPI knowledge, strong ownership mindset, and excellent ability to review code and maintain coding standards through PR merges. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting performance issues, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring smooth application deployments. We value expertise in Python development, teamwork, and communication skills. As a team lead, you will mentor junior developers, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high-quality codebases. Must-Have Skills: Extensive Python development experience (3+ years) FastAPI experience (2+ years) for high-performance backends Team leadership experience mentoring teams of 5+ developers Strong ability to review code and give constructive feedback Expert-level FastAPI knowledge Excellent ownership mindset and communication skills Preferred Skills: Knowledge of reinforcement learning (RL) concepts and applications Experience with machine learning (ML) frameworks and libraries Understanding of DevOps practices and pipeline optimization
