Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist (Remote) – Veta Virtual

This role is ideal for someone who is finance-driven, highly organized, and ready to take full ownership of revenue operations in a fast-paced, remote startup environment. You’ll work as part of our client’s team, providing financial support to standout startup clients and taking full ownership of their revenue cycle from quote to cash.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end revenue operations — from generating quotes and invoices to reconciling discrepancies, tracking receivables, and ensuring timely collections.
  • Oversee a small team (2 AR Specialists) to send invoices daily, review accuracy against order forms, and resolve discrepancies with sales or customers.
  • Respond to customer and sales questions on invoicing, take ownership of collections, and push back when needed.
  • Support accurate revenue reporting by collaborating with the accounting team and reviewing SQL query outputs for accuracy.
  • Optimize key systems (QuickBooks Online, Stripe) while leading upgrades, automation projects, and process improvements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding billing, invoices, and payment statuses.
What You’ll Need
  • 1–3+ years of accounting experience in U.S.-based companies, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable and Revenue Operations.
  • Proven experience managing the full revenue cycle (quote-to-cash) and overseeing small teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Stripe, plus ability to review SQL outputs for accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to reconcile discrepancies and push back when necessary with customers or sales.
  • Experience with process improvements, system upgrades, and automation projects.
  • Familiarity with startup accounting practices and ability to adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Bonus: experience with Slack, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Mercury, Chase, Ramp, Brex, Bill.com, or ClickUp.
  • Professional fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with high integrity, ownership, and coachability, capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • General awareness of how AI is being applied in accounting and operations (a plus).
