**What are we looking for?**
Product Development Scientist working in the lab to formulate high performing, inclusive, high quality products in the Makeup Eye area. Works closely with packaging team to ensure the product is compatible and stable and delivers the right in-use experience. Works with other R&D partners to qualify formulation safety, compliance, stability and performance. Ensures formulation work is on track for key project milestones. Responsible for technical development of product formulation from inception to launch.
**What are the main responsibilities**:
Uses technical methods and sensory testing to evaluate product performance and ensure targets are delivered. Works with R&D partner functions and Market Research to qualify product safety, efficacy, inclusivity, compliance, stability and quality and to validate product performance with the consumer.
**Who is the person?**
Expertise in formulation science and strong technical problem solving skills, ability to identify new technology solutions, inclusive and cross-culturally curious mindset and work with external partners to bring new solutions in;
Strong lab bench skills and technical competency;
Experience in R&D in FMCG industry, ideally in Beauty / Personal care, or other lab based experience on product development;
Bachelors Degree or higher in relevant scientific discipline;
Strong chemistry training as well as problem solving, interpersonal, team, bench and communications (oral & written) skills;Strong organizational competencies and able to work successfully in a matrix global environment.
