The company is Goan, established in Goa; preference is for Goan candidates, resident in Goa. We do not normally recruit or solicit candidates from outside Goa State. All candidates are requested to note this. Responsibilities Ensuring day-to-day accounts are kept up-to-date. Timely submission of statutory requirements (TDS, Service Tax, VAT, etc.). Inward and Outward Registers. Assist Admin In-charge whenever required. Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts. Perform account/bank reconciliations. Preparation of monthly financial reports. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and payroll administration. Co-ordinate with the Company Chartered Accountant/Auditor and participate in the audit process. Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures. Ensure that Accounts Department activities are fully compliant with latest Government Accounting and regulations and directives. Keep abreast of changes to applicable government legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Implement changes in Accounting rules and legislation promptly and accurately. Skills Excellent English (written and spoken). Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines. Expertise in digital tools and strong documentation skills. Proficiency in using the Tally Accounting Package is required. Ability to work independently as well as within a team. Ability to collaborate effectively with the Companys Chartered Accountant on financial and compliance matters. Experience in managing company accounts. Familiarity with Statutory Compliance, Statutory Reporting and Accounting Procedures up to finalisation. Handling of Service Tax, VAT, ESI, PF and Income Tax.
