The Content Coordinator will plan, create, assign, manage and execute editorial plans for FC Diez Media managed platforms for CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana. The role involves transforming the Digital Marketing strategy into content strategy and operation, managing complete content workflows in the competition’s Portuguese and Spanish digital ecosystem, and coordinating with writers, editors, community managers, producers, video editors, designers and cross-functional partners to deliver an engaging digital experience for football fans in South America.

The content manager will be an expert in social media management and platforms, track performance across digital channels, and ensure a value proposition for key audiences. A strong knowledge of South American football, its calendar and stakeholders is required.

• Manage social media in alignment with the Digital Team; drive activity across all social media channels.
• Optimize content and materials (multiple media formats, copy, articles) to maximize engagement aligned with global strategy and business objectives.
• Contribute ideas and concepts to the content plan relevant to the audience in the digital ecosystem.
• Coordinate a team of editors, writers and community managers; synchronize with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver social media operations.
• Edit and publish content on social platforms, websites and apps with a focus on vertical video and younger audiences.
• Conduct industry, competitor and market research to identify new content trends in Latin America and beyond.
• Monitor social media performance and tracking; align strategies with executable tactics and operations to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate live match coverage and special productions including player interviews, club content and athlete features across multiple platforms.
• Oversee complete content production from ideation through capture, editing and publishing; ensure brand standards and engagement objectives.
• Plan and distribute content operations workload among freelance producers.
• Liaise with Spanish, English and Portuguese editors/editors to synchronize content creation and publication.
• Coordinate with CONMEBOL to align content creation.
• Brief video, design and production departments to coordinate content creation.
• Write, edit and publish articles; write scripts and lead production of episodic content in Portuguese.

• Strong digital sports marketing or journalistic experience.
• Extensive experience in team coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent news sense and content instinct, especially with platforms like TikTok, Shorts and Reels.
• High level of football knowledge, particularly for major South American tournaments.
• Outstanding copywriting abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong time-management and interpersonal skills.
• Expert at posting engaging content across social media platforms.
• Brand savvy, audience focused, digital native with passion for digital content.
• Experience in social media analytics, ideally with tools like Emplifi and Hookit.
• Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese (or capable of understanding Portuguese).
• Knowledge in video direction.
• Experience managing freelancers.
• Experience with keyword research tools (e.g., AHREFs, SEMRUSH, Google Trends).
• Experience using content analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Chartbeat).
