**Project** Description**:
US based hedge fund develops and deploys systematic financial strategies across a variety of asset classes and global markets. We seek to produce high-quality predictive signals (alphas) through our proprietary research platform to employ financial strategies focused on exploiting market inefficiencies. Our teams work collaboratively to drive the production of alphas and financial strategies - the foundation of a sustainable, global trading platform.
Technologists at fund research, design, code, test and deploy projects while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. Our environment is relaxed yet intellectually intense. THE ROLE: We are seeking an exceptionally talented junior and senior engineers to join our Data Org team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Architect and design strategic projects requiring strong Computer Science fundamentals.
- Challenge the status quo in a fast pacing environment while learning about financial technologies.
- Focus on scaling our processing pipelines of orders of magnitude which will spark interesting Distributed System challenges and discussions.
- Work in a horizontal team with high impact and exposure to many others within the company.
- Work with and contribute to leading open-source technologies (such as Kafka, Prometheus, GitLab with integrated CI/CD, Elastic Search, Citus, etc..)
**Skills**:
Must have
- Holds Bachelor's degree or advanced degree from a leading university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related areas.
- Has a demonstrated ability in Java and Python writing high quality and strongly typed code.
- Is passionate about Distributed Systems and experienced with leading open source technologies.
- Is mature, thoughtful, with the ability to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture.
- Is a builder and self-starter.
Nice to have
- Strong Plus: Experienced with Elastic Search Management, Ansible and GitLab CI
- Competed in regional or international Code competitions (ICPC, Math/CS Olympiads)
- Loves high code quality and contributing to always keep high team's standards
