eCommerce Counsel, Governance & Experience In this role, you will primarily support TikTok Shop's Governance and Experience (GNE) team in Brazil. Responsibilities Advise on the development and implementation of policies applicable to TikTok Shop sellers, buyers, creators, and partners in Brazil; Review and provide legal advice on digital product features related to GNE policies, with a focus on features related to seller and listing governance, fraud prevention, creator engagement, and intellectual property protection; Provide expert advice and guidance on Brazilian consumer product testing and display requirements across multiple product categories; Identify regulatory trends, policy developments, and reporting on competitor compliance activities and enforcement actions; Support business team(s) to manage customer escalations, media inquiries, and PR escalations involving allegations of regulatory non‑compliance in procedures or policies; Contribute to template development, process improvement, and internal training, identifying and resolving opportunities to simplify workflows and reduce friction; Partner closely with local and international stakeholders in legal, privacy, and public policy to deliver projects against short timeframes, setting appropriate priorities and managing legal risk. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Licensed to practice law in Brazil with 5+ years of legal practice experience; Strong written and verbal proficiency in both English and Portuguese; Basic understanding of consumer product testing and display requirements in Brazil, preferably across multiple product categories; Knowledge of Brazilian laws as they apply to platform providers and e‑commerce platforms; Experience in platform liability, intellectual property, consumer protection, regulatory and compliance frameworks related to new technology and e‑commerce products; Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills in a cross‑functional and global role; Ability to work independently on many different projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting policy and governance teams within an e‑commerce, marketplace, or retail organization.
