Senior Analyst

The Custody Operations Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; risk and controls activities, accounting and/or product processor reconciliation, regulatory reporting, non-resident investors documentation review and registration, imaging and other Custody Operations activities in coordination with the other areas. Additionally, Senior analyst serves as the liaison between operations staff (regional and global) and regional office e.g. In-Business Risk & Control, project managers, custodians and clients. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly accounting routines (reconciliation, reporting, substantiation etc.), actively participate in the closing of books and sub-ledgers including appropriate approval required adjustment inputs and consolidating at the end of the accounting period.
- Analyze data to identify potential deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through implementing appropriate procedures.
- Work closely with Business, Finance, IT, Ops (local and Tampa) and other groups to ensure timely resolution of escalations.
- Perform feasibility analysis for significant process changes and partner with business teams to develop process improvements and solutions that help to streamline the operational workflow
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
**Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Fluent in English and Portuguese;
- Proficiency in Excel/Access
- A control focused mindset with strong process improvement capabilities;
- High level knowledge of related to standards and practices
- Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
