THE OPPORTUNITY We are hiring a Mid-level Backend Software Engineer to our CARE - Engagement & Platform team in Brazil . This is a Remote – Brazil position, meaning you can work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is only open to candidates in Brazil. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of AI-powered solutions. YOUR IMPACT You will be working on one or more of the following exciting areas: Design, develop, and implement generative AI based applications. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines. API Development and Integration: design and develop APIs, ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and performant. Collaboration and Communication: work closely with cross‑functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers, participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, communicate technical concepts and project progress effectively to non‑technical stakeholders. Main Requirements WHO YOU ARE Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Strong skills in programming languages in Python, Kotlin, and Golang. Strong experience with AWS. Skills in serverless architecture (AWS Lambda). Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL) and understanding of common use cases and performance pitfalls. Experience with API development, integration, and monitoring. Experience with event‑driven architecture such as Kafka and SQS. Experience monitoring systems in production (e.g., Grafana). Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Able to work efficiently on high‑scalable and distributed projects. Proven experience with projects where the scope is not clearly defined. Fast learning, easily adapting to new technologies quickly and efficiently. Passionate and proven experience building reliable minimum‑viable products and pilots in a short amount of time. For this specific role, please note that experience working with Kotlin, Golang, or Java, microservices, and distributed systems are mandatory requirements.
