Responsibilities Process Engineers develop and sustain processing steps in semiconductor fabrication, including diffusion, etching, plating, lithographic printing, and thin film deposition. Plan and implement capacity and operational improvements to maximize output while improving safety and quality of operations. As module owner, conduct tests and measurements to determine control over critical dimensions and defectivity of the process line. Recommend and implement modifications to equipment operating parameters to improve production efficiency and optimize production output for existing products. Establish and submit processing requirements for designing and acquiring processing equipment. Exercise independent judgment to adjust tools and processes reactively or proactively to maximize output. Develop solutions to problems using formal education and judgement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an Engineering and/or Science discipline such as Electrical and Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. Preferred Qualifications 6+ months of experience in semiconductor devices and circuits, measurements and testing, microscopy, microprocessor architecture, and nano-technology; 3+ months of experience with semiconductor devices and circuits, electrical measurements and testing or device physics; 6+ months of experience in operating and maintaining laboratory, testing or manufacturing equipment.
