About the role:
We are collaborating with the world's largest technology companies on the next generation of generative AI and large language models (LLMs). We are seeking smart, curious subject matter experts to join our AI/ML data team.
Role: Physics Subject Matter Expert
In this role, you will help train advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) by producing, curating, and reviewing high-quality educational and technical Physics content. Your expertise will shape how AI systems understand, explain, and reason about Physics concepts.
Responsibilities- Create high-quality, accurate, and pedagogically sound content in physics, including conceptual explanations, problem sets and solutions, theoretical summaries and derivations, and research abstracts and technical writing.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to review and refine physics-related model outputs, identify and fill conceptual gaps in LLM training data, and build datasets across a wide range of physics domains (e.g., classical mechanics, quantum physics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, relativity, astrophysics, etc.).
- Provide feedback to improve LLM performance in reasoning, solving, and communicating physics content; ensure consistency, depth, and scientific accuracy across all content.
- Contribute to the development of content standards and annotation guidelines.
- Master's or PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline (MS with exceptional experience may be considered).
- Strong background in theoretical and/or applied physics.
- Excellent technical and academic writing skills.

- Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams with engineers, linguists, and data scientists.
