Trading Desk Analyst

**What’s the role****What you’ll be doing**As a Trading Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:- Adhering to Shell’s Business Principles, market Regulations, and contributing to and maintaining a culture of Compliance- To ensure all the trading transactions and exposures are represented accordingly in the Shell’s systems- To ensure all the trading transactions are in accordance with pre-established risk parameters- Collaboration with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teams- Contributing to and ensuring alignment with Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas’ overall goals and strategies- Interacting with other support functions in the organization such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market Risk- Knowledge of the developing Brazilian Domestic Gas market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it- Knowledge of the Brazilian Power Trading market and an understanding of the fundamentals that drive it- Collaboration with the financial trade group to understand exposure management of long dated derivative exposures that the trade book will carry**What you bring**- Must have legal authorization to work in Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related field- Minimum one (1) year of experience with market risk at a trading business (power trading), banking, or in any work-related field- Fluency in both Portuguese and English- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, understanding of financial modeling- Good interpersonal skills- Respect for colleagues, and the ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.- Extensive spreadsheet management skills (Excel, Power BI)- Database management and programming skills are a benefit to this role- Kindly submit your resume in both Portuguese and English**What we offer**You bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet.
