**Job overview and responsibilities**
The Ground Equipment mechanic accomplishes daily routine checks and he/she complies with the preventive and corrective maintenance program established by the Equipment Manufacturer's and Company Polices. He/she will maintain the motorized and non-motorized equipment at highest safety and reliability standards to ensure the station mission and goals are achieved.
- Handles all GSE maintenance at station, including repair, adjustment, replacement and/or troubleshooting, under supervision.
- Deal with external vendors/Suppliers to coordinate parts provisioning (retrieves and delivers)
- Able to assist with all GSE maintenance operation tasks.
**This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.**
**Required**
- Able to read technical diagrams and documentation in English.
- GSE Maintenance Experience in equipments used in the aviation industry.
- Technical Education and Certification.
- Must be team-oriented person and must be willing to share and seek improvements.
- Communicates effectively with departmental leadership and other divisions and departments - Able to process information and put together action plans to correct deficiencies
- Ability to complete all forms and reports required to the handle the GSE maintenance activities
- Must have five (5) years' experience on airline industry GSE equipment
- Must hold a valid Passport and U.S. Visa (Preschedule US Consulate visit will be accepted)
- Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship
- Must possess a valid local driver's license
- Must be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends, and holiday
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
