Role Description

This is a fully remote contract role for a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Oleve, particularly those with strong backend and infrastructure skills. The Full-Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. Tasks include back-end web development using Python and FastAPI and front-end development using React and TypeScript. Additionally, the engineer will work with MongoDB databases and apply CSS for styling user interfaces. The engineer will also be involved in full-stack development activities, including participating in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing performance. You’ll leap into action when critical bugs or incidents arise, building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems to ensure problems are resolved before they affect our rapidly growing user base. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python, FastAPI, MongoDB, React, and TypeScript.
  • Back-end development with Python/FastAPI; front-end with React/TypeScript; integrate CSS for styling.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Respond to critical bugs or incidents; build, scale, and maintain large-scale distributed systems to ensure reliability for a global user base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to architecture decisions.
Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and database design principles; good UX fundamentals.
  • Experience deploying to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Proficient with Git and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to create pixel-perfect UIs.
  • Bonus: Prior startup experience or willingness to take on multiple roles.
  • Preferred: Prior exposure to data orchestration systems and distributed systems.
