It is a permanent full‑time expat relocation package. Job Overview We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our Unconventional Resources Producing Department (URPD) within the Unconventional Resources organization. The URPD is responsible for operating and maintaining Unconventional Resources (UR) surface facilities, ensuring the safe and efficient production of hydrocarbons. The department plays a critical role in the overall success of the UR program. Your primary role is to provide professional advice and guidance regarding mechanical/rotating equipment systems, schemes, equipment, or techniques, facility designs, and solutions to operating and maintenance problems. Key Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units to troubleshoot and fix rotating equipment and mechanical systems. Develop engineering design packages for new installation and upgrade projects, including development of work scopes, calculations, and detailed technical specifications. Review Project Proposals and Detailed Design packages for new facilities. Participate in the testing and commissioning of new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I). Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings. Analyze system performance and find solutions for energy saving. Ensure quality, cost‑effective, and timely solutions to any upgrade. Test and pilot new technologies. Ensure full HSE compliance. Report and analyze key performance indices. Develop and implement reliability programs. Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities and lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities. Provide analysis, evaluation, and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; a Master’s degree is preferred. 15 years of working experience, including 10 years in industrial operation facilities, with preference for experience in shale gas facilities and modular skid‑mounted units. Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME and API (including API‑STD‑610 and 617). Experience with creating/modifying PFDs and P&IDs, troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, creating schematics and piping diagrams, conducting failure analysis, and providing recommendations for failed rotating equipment. Experience in rotating equipment and piping field installation, commissioning, and testing, and specifying piping and equipment layout. Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical, economic, and commercial concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on unstructured tasks and command professional respect. P.E. or Chartered Engineer license desirable but not essential. Thorough understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, business and cost drivers, and feedstock sensitivities. Experience in mechanical design review, construction, commissioning, and testing activities for new shale gas facilities.
