Freelance Carpenter Opportunity

About This Project:

This project focuses on collecting manual labor data to enhance AI understanding through wearable GoPro footage. As a carpenter, you will record your daily woodworking routines as part of this short-term paid engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • You will wear a head-mounted GoPro camera for 5 separate days within a 2-week window and record at least 7 hours per day.
  • Breaks and pauses can be taken for privacy, but it is recommended to minimize disruptions.
  • Each day, spend around 2 hours reviewing and processing the footage by uploading it to a secure platform, deleting, anonymizing, or consenting to each video segment.

Household Requirements:

  • No children under 18 should be present or visiting during the recording period.
  • All adults in the space must be fluent English speakers and consent to being recorded.
  • The participant's living environment should be a private, self-contained apartment, building, or indoor workspace.
  • All household members must agree to appear in the footage.

Participant Requirements:

  • Candidates must work indoors in non-customer-facing roles.
  • Participants who share the same workplace or household should both have a GoPro mounted during the activity.
  • A preference is given to individuals engaged in manual or creative work.
  • Candidates must be self-employed or have employer consent to record in their work environment.
  • A basic understanding of computer tasks, such as reviewing and uploading video clips, is required.

Technical Requirements:

  • A computer and internet connection are necessary for the duration of the project.
  • Comfort with web-based tools for uploading and reviewing clips is essential (training will be provided).
  • All necessary equipment, including a GoPro camera and accessories, will be provided.
