System Monitoring Engineer Role Key Responsibilities Daily health, performance, and availability of enterprise monitoring tools are critical to daily operations. Routine maintenance, upgrades, and configuration tuning ensure the system runs smoothly. Triage and resolve monitoring-related incidents and service tickets in a timely manner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams. Develop dashboards, alerts, and reports to support operational needs. Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident response efforts. Document operational procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for future reference. Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency. About This Role This role requires 5+ years experience in systems engineering or enterprise monitoring roles. Hands-on experience with Splunk, DynaTrace, and NewRelic is necessary. A strong understanding of IT operations, incident management, and ticketing systems is essential. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) is required. Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments is beneficial. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a bias for action are necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
