QA SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team supporting major game and systems projects. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, loves building tools, and is passionate about raising the quality bar across games and backend services. You’ll work closely with developers, QA teams, and technical stakeholders to drive automation and risk-based testing strategies that align with our organization’s high standards.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate directly with development teams to define and implement test plans, risk assessments, and quality goals for ongoing projects.
  • Design, develop, and maintain productivity tools, test automation frameworks, and supporting services to enable scalable and efficient testing across multiple teams.
  • Analyze existing testing and development workflows, identifying opportunities to improve quality, reduce execution time, and eliminate redundancy through the use of technology.
  • Deliver technical solutions such as API test hooks, UI automation, and data-validation utilities to increase test coverage and optimize test execution costs.
  • Create and implement metrics dashboards to monitor test effectiveness, identify patterns and trends in defects, and report on risk and stability to development partners.
  • Actively contribute to team planning, knowledge sharing, and collaboration across other quality and engineering groups.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in an SDET, Tools Engineer, or similar role with a strong focus on software quality and testability.
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate confidently with senior developers and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven commitment to quality, sustainable software practices, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing custom productivity tools, test frameworks, or infrastructure components.
  • Experience with Playwright or other modern UI test automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
  • Passion for gaming, interactive services, and a culture of excellence.
