Senior Java Software Architect – Trustly

Who you are and What you will do describe the role and the impact you will have. This is a technical leadership role focused on shaping architecture and guiding engineering teams.

Overview

Join our dynamic software architecture team at Trustly. You’ll work with product managers, engineering leads, and software engineers to develop, deploy, and manage a cloud-native microservices-based product suite for payments and risk analysis. You will influence architecture, integrate with external service providers, and help scale Trustly’s platform to meet growing demand.

What you will do

  • Lead the architectural vision for cloud-based services, impacting the company's strategic direction
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to enhance our platform
  • Integrate services with external providers while adhering to industry standards
  • Spearhead development and implementation of high-quality, scalable Java-based solutions
  • Foster technical excellence, guiding teams in best practices, code quality, and test automation

Who you are

  • Solid experience in backend Java development with substantial experience in a Java Solution Architect role
  • Technical Expertise: deep knowledge of Java and frameworks (Spring), API development, cloud deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP), and virtualization
  • Experience with networking protocols and test automation in Java environments
  • Strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design and modeling complex systems
  • Leadership: proven track record in team leadership and mentorship, with strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Advanced English proficiency
