About The Role We are seeking a visionary creative leader with deep experience in developing ad concepts for digital paid media on Meta, TikTok, and other channels. The ideal candidate is a creative strategist by trade, with a background in design, video editing, or performance marketing, and hyper‑focused on paid media performance and delivering high‑quality ad assets that sell products and services. What you’ll do Lead high‑tempo creative strategy and direction for full‑funnel ad programs on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Amazon, and Display platforms. Deliver expert advice, concepts, directions, and briefs to sell products and services through short‑form video. Translate client marketing strategy and performance data into clear, compelling ad concepts, using metrics such as thumb‑stop rate, hold rate, and click‑through rate. Brief designers and editors on asset creation—including static ads, animations, mobile‑first videos, and storyboards for short‑form content—and be capable of creating in Figma or Photoshop when needed. Present creative work to stakeholders and clients with clarity, confidence, and strategic rationale. Monitor performance data with the marketing team to inform creative iterations and improve results over time. You should apply if this sounds like you 3+ years of creative strategy work on performance ad programs, with a focus on short‑form video and statics. Digital portfolio showcasing performance ad work that includes short‑form video, motion, and statics, with evidence of impact on metrics like hold rate or CTR. Strong hands‑on design skills—able to storyboard, cut, ship ads, and manipulate assets in Figma, Photoshop, or Illustrator. Deep knowledge of performance metrics such as thumb‑stop rate, 3‑second hold, hook retention, CTR, and CPA. Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney, Perplexity, Icon, Runway, etc.) to increase speed and volume of ad production. Excellent communicator, both in writing and in client presentations, with strong ability to give actionable feedback to designers and editors. Proficiency in Figma (Auto Layout, Components, handoff) and the Adobe Creative Suite. Hard disqualifiers No Meta performance creative ad experience. No portfolio link or no performance context. Strategy‑only with no hands‑on design ability. Not excellent in client presentation and salesmanship. Working at Darkroom Darkroom is not a typical agency.
