About The Risk & Collection Team
Risk owns the operating system that decides who to approve, at what limit and price, and how to collect—end-to-end and in real time. At Zippi, Risk is a technology-driven function leveraging PIX, Open Finance, and AI to create innovative credit products for MSBs . We combine deep customer insights from transactional and behavioral data with real-time, policy-driven decisioning to offer working capital with limits and repayments aligned to cash flow.
Beyond underwriting, Risk also leads collections by developing AI-powered renegotiation engines and dynamic policies that personalize repayment offers, optimize recoveries, and reduce costs. This integrated approach ensures faster decisions, higher approval rates, early risk detection, and better retention, powering a risk system that evolves with every transaction.
What You'll Do

• Lead the development of AI-powered renegotiation models – Design, build, and test models and algorithms to optimize collections strategies, maximizing recoveries while maintaining a positive customer experience. Drive experimentation with new policies and approaches to improve loss mitigation and repayment rates
• Drive data-informed policy design and experimentation – Partner with data & ops teams to develop dynamic renegotiation policies, setting up rigorous A/B tests and champion–challenger frameworks. Monitor, analyze, and iterate on policy performance to maximize returns on loss portfolios
• Be a key contributor to the Collections technology roadmap – Own the roadmap for AI-driven collections platforms, integrating multiple channels and decision layers. Use causal inference and uplift modeling to personalize communication cadence and incentives, balancing cost-to-collect, compliance, and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate cross-functionally to turn insights into impact – Work closely with Product and Risk teams to translate data-driven insights into scalable features, enabling rapid experimentation and confident delivery of innovative collections solutions
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Proven expertise in risk management with strong experimentation skills – You have led high-impact credit or collections risk strategies in ambiguous environments, driving measurable improvements in portfolio quality, loss reduction, and ROI. You're experienced in designing and executing rigorous A/B tests and champion–challenger experiments to validate policies and optimize outcomes
• Deep statistical and analytical expertise – You master translating complex data into robust, scalable models and actionable insights, balancing methodological rigor with business agility. Your foundation in risk concepts—delinquency curves, PDD, segmentation, and exposure optimization—is strong and well applied
• Hands-on builder and problem solver – You don't just strategize—you roll up your sleeves, build data pipelines, develop models, and iterate on solutions yourself. You combine technical depth with a pragmatic mindset to drive real, measurable impact
• Effective communicator and trusted partner – You simplify complex risk concepts and experimental results for stakeholders across levels, influencing decisions and fostering cross-functional collaboration
