We are looking for a Technical Accountant to join our Reinsurance Accounting team in Brazil. This department is responsible for the analysis, timely and accurate recording of reinsurance contracts, premiums, commissions, and claims information into the Company’s global reinsurance system. Your Responsibilities Validate reinsurance statements of account and verify calculations for treaty and facultative business based on contract terms and conditions. Review claims notifications and confirm accuracy against reinsurance agreements. Process statements of account and losses in SAP accurately and on time. Register new losses, contracts, and facultative business details in the local accounting system. Arrange payments and follow up on outstanding balances with clients. Ensure data quality for quarterly closings and annual financial statements at contract level. Maintain correspondence and build strong relationships with cedents and brokers. Take ownership of a specific client portfolio. Analyze and present reinsurance and accounting matters to internal stakeholders. Participate in local and global projects and working groups. Collaborate closely with multiple departments: Underwriting, Client Management, Claims, Treasury & Investments, Actuarial, Controlling , and especially Local Accounting . Your Profile Degree inAdministration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science , or related field. Professional experience in insurance or reinsurance accounting . Proficiency in MS Office , especially Excel . Experience with reinsurance systems , preferably SAP tools . Strong analytical skills and accuracy in handling figures. Proactive and self-confident , with a high level of dedication to working independently and embracing new responsibilities. Ability to maintain and improve client relationships , with solid negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English (written and spoken). Team-oriented, with interest in expanding and sharing knowledge . Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Project experience is desirable.
