Job Description:

As a senior software developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and efficient back-end systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, test, and deploy robust and reliable software applications using various technologies such as Node.js. You will also collaborate with product managers, analysts, architects, and engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement information technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have advanced understanding and experience in web application development, strong backend development skills, preferably with Node.js, knowledge of best practices around software development, SDLC, unit testing, being able to share this knowledge with others in the team.

  • Developer empathy: ability to empathize with developers, by being flexible in solution design without compromising best practices and standards
  • Improvisation (lateral thinking): the ability to think across disciplines and existing boundaries (technologies/business/geographies)
  • Research: an inclination to continuous research inside and outside of the current focus fields

Others:

The successful candidate will participate in requirements gathering and reviews, assess technical feasibility, assist in defining solutions, and prepare development artifacts where required. They will also conduct code walk-throughs and reviews with team members and monitor changes in technology, remaining up-to-date on current industry trends and internal architecture practices, principles, models, and standards.

They will train technical staff on new technologies and make good use of the CI/CD pipeline, supporting production software operations, testing, and debugging programs. Self-taught workers with a capability to learn and apply by themselves and self-guided workers capable of working with different product teams with little supervision after the initial learning period are preferred.
