As a DeFi Researcher, you will be responsible for analyzing projects across the crypto ecosystem for the Largest Exchange in Latam affiliated trading desk. The Senior DeFi Researcher will analyze projects across the crypto ecosystem to identify opportunities and risks associated with projects in DeFi and crypto. You'll coordinate with other teams in Risk to track and mitigate identified risks. You'll work closely with Trading and Operations teams to support the operation of the Desk.
**Your impact**:
- Deep-dive in DeFi projects, and the broader crypto ecosystem to identify opportunities and associated risks
- Analyze tokenomics and advising on tokenomics design
- Slice and dice any protocol and understand every component of it
- Lead blockchain analytics, from project-driven blockchain data analysis to creating internal tools/dashboards
- Perform due diligence on protocols, projects, teams, project design, and project use cases
- Identify novel risks and assess the adequacy of existing controls
- Propose enhancements and mitigations to manage risk
**Who you are**:
- A Defi Degen, you have aped into various protocols
- Structured and curious
- Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills;
- Working knowledge of the crypto ecosystem including Layer 1s, Layer 2s, DeFi and crypto
- Resourceful and scrappy investigator familiar with open-source crypto research tools and techniques.
- Ability to independently overcome hurdles to drive questions and problems to closure
- You thrive on autonomy, responsibility and owning your work, end to end
