Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Teleprompter Operator with professional experience in the film or television industry . This individual will be responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting teleprompter systems during in-studio and on-location shoots. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly detail-oriented, and skilled at working closely with on-camera talent, producers, and directors to ensure smooth delivery of scripted content.
This role is critical for helping on-screen talent maintain performance flow and confidence, particularly during commercial, corporate, and promotional shoots.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain teleprompter systems for a wide range of studio and field productions
  • Load and format scripts into prompter software and adjust for pacing and readability
  • Work directly with talent to control scroll speed, timing, and rhythm based on individual needs and direction
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, and scriptwriters to make live updates or corrections on set
  • Ensure proper positioning and visibility of the prompter screen in coordination with camera setups
  • Maintain teleprompter equipment and troubleshoot technical issues during production
  • Assist with script formatting and revisions when needed
  • Ensure on-time setup and breakdown of teleprompter equipment for shoots
  • Uphold professionalism and discretion when working with clients or high-profile talent
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a teleprompter operator or in a similar role within the film/TV/media industry
  • Proficiency with teleprompter software and hardware (e.g., TeleScript, Prompter People, QTV, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of on-set camera setups and how teleprompters integrate into various shooting environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different speaking styles and pacing
  • Comfort working in high-pressure environments and adjusting to live changes
  • Comfortable working with on set talent and coaching them through pacing
  • Attention to detail, script accuracy, and formatting
  • Ability to lift and set up teleprompter rigs and accessories
  • Flexible availability for early call times, extended shoot days, and occasional travel
