About This Role WeWork is looking for a Discipline Manager for Project Management to oversee a team of project managers working on a growing portfolio of projects in the region. This role will be within the Product team, mentoring, guiding and coaching project managers to ensure high quality projects are delivered on time and on budget. The candidate should have experience across development stages including due diligence, bidding, contract management, and people management. Responsibilities Be a Positive Influence - Serve as an optimistic, professional, and supportive representative of the Product team Delivery Mentorship - Mentor project managers on all aspects of project deliverables, optimize individual performance, address and clarify process issues, and establish best practices for project management (scheduling, deadlines, etc.) Building the Team - Collaborate with recruiting to identify top candidates, interview, assess, generate offers, onboard and train new starters Resource Management - Help manage delivery resources to ensure teams are properly staffed to achieve goals; analyze future pipeline and assess resourcing needs Communication - Demonstrate effective decision-making and clear communication Participation - Support regional goals and participate in leadership meetings and regional initiatives Collaboration - Work with other functional managers and internal teams (sales, real estate, building operations) to maximize membership experience within project timelines and budgets Reports to - The Project Delivery Director Qualifications 8+ years of experience in all phases of the development process from schematic design through bid process and construction management BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate Development or Architecture Experience with real estate development processes including due diligence, financial modeling, permitting, site feasibility, contracting, construction means and methods, operational turnover Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Adept problem solver with strong focus on organizational goals Experience navigating a complex matrix organizational structure Effective collaboration and teamwork with a positive attitude Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written Openness to new technology that optimizes development processes Management experience leading, mentoring and guiding teams Strong project management skills and a track record of meeting deadlines Knowledge of construction industry best practices, building and ADA codes Fluency in local language or dialect; strong command of English Benefits Comprehensive medical coverage, including parental leave Paid vacation and holidays Professional Development program Complimentary meals and beverages Company retreats, events, and wellness programs Lifestyle perks and discounts Life at WeWork Being a WeWorker is more than a job.
