Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate Research Engineer - Structural Design , reporting to the Manager of the Digital Engineering Team, working out of the São José dos Campos office.
The Associate Research Engineer - Structural Desig will contribute to the mission of Boeing's Digital Engineering Innovation Hub, a global initiative supporting the digital transformation of Boeing´s Innovation. The activities range from conducting R&D projects to providing direct support to Boeing's Innovation functions and programs.
As a Design Engineer you'll be joining an interdisciplinary team focusing on the development of digital engineering solutions.
Position responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in Structural Design, with emphasis on Digital processes, methods and tools.
  • Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assists on the development of Model-based Systems Engineering solutions for better integration of engineering processes and tools across all disciplines, (incl. systems engineering, design engineering, structural analysis, avionics, etc.), focusing on digital continuity.
  • Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. This means that the selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
  • Must have a degree in Engineering in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Relevant experience in scripting/coding in Python programming language.
  • Relevant experience in scripting/coding in CATIA VBA API.
  • Relevant experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc.).
  • Relevant experience with structural design principles for aircraft.
  • Some experience with Agile methodologies.

Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
