Job Summary
Our client is a prominent East Coast Insurance company. They are seeking a QA Automation Lead to modernize customer-facing insurance platforms and internal claims processing systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, drives team performance, and balances structure with flexibility to get things done.
This role will lead a team of 3 QA Automation engineers and report directly to the Director of Engineering
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of three QA Automation Engineers
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and development teams for CI/CD test integration
  • Ensure quality standards and best practices are upheld throughout the SDLC
  • Analyze test results and advocate for continuous improvements in test coverage and processes
  • Contribute to test planning, estimation, and overall testing strategy
Qualifications
Must Have Skills
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in QA, 2 years as a lead
  • Experience with Playwright (JavaScript or TypeScript)
  • Strong CI/CD experience (preferably with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps)
  • Deep knowledge of testing methodologies and automation best practices
  • Experience with RESTful API testing
Nice To Have Skills
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., k6, Gatling)
  • Knowledge of security and accessibility testing
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary Range from 40,000-54,000 USD/yr
