Infrastructure Consultant

An Infrastructure Consultant with experience in implementing cloud, IaaS, and SaaS architectures for our SAP Migration customers with a focus on Security and Infrastructure best practices.

1. Providing technical support for Azure systems running SAP and some non-SAP applications.
2. Responding to customer tickets in a timely manner, owning infrastructure issues to resolution.
3. Proactively identifying the root cause of issues and recommending and implementing solutions.
4. Supporting projects for the build and migration of SAP systems on Azure.
5. Liaising with basis and other team members to support a customer’s requirements.
6. Providing out of hours support cover when scheduled to the support rota.
7. Deploying Lemongrass tooling to support the automation of basis and infrastructure activities.

1. Self-starter, who can work independently, with and across teams.
2. Working directly with clients and project teams to implement processes and technology that support various technical and business functions.
3. Hands-on engineering and configuration of cloud infrastructures using various automation tools.
4. Some knowledge of automated provisioning and DevOps tooling.
5. Demonstrated involvement in projects that span the lifecycle from planning and design through deployment, configuration, and migration.
6. Technical understanding of Azure IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS offerings.
7. In-depth experience in Azure compute, storage, network, load balancer, and container management.
8. Experience with SUSE, RHEL, and Windows operating systems.
9. Experience with networking principles and implementation.
10. Experience with system and environment hardening.
11. Experience with application and infrastructure management and monitoring tools.
12. Ability to work effectively in pressurized situations and can be relied upon to deliver, irrespective of circumstances.
13. Execution of periodic infrastructure and security checklists in existing environments.
14. General infrastructure maintenance functions based on our SysAid ticketing system and Internal RAAID actions.
