Data Scientist

Overview Join as a Data Scientist – Alphaville at Corteva Agriscience. Role Description Designs, prototypes, and builds models – which act as engines for all the use cases. Maintains models including updates on monthly basis to support use cases. Profile Degree: Postgraduate from a quantitative field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Sciences, Finance). Minimum Experience 2 years’ experience in a statistical and/or data science role working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization and distributed computing tools. Minimum Skills Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization or related fields. Experience with one of: SAS, SPSS, Matlab, Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, Arena, Alteryx and SQL. Language Proficiency One of: R, Python. Other Considerations Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross‑functional teams in a fun, fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Understand business problems and design end‑to‑end analytics models. Ensure that these models create value for business units. Implement and deploy scalable solutions; maintain model performance management. KPIs & Performance management based on use cases delivery and value contribution.
